Frank has been actively involved in the hobby of metal detecting for nearly 35 years. Frank was integral in adding metal detecting into the area of evidence recovery in police investigations as early as 1988.

Having served as a police officer until being shot in the line of duty, Frank has dedicated the majority of his days actively testing new detector technology for numerous manufacturers, as well as developing a modern adaptation of electrolysis.

While becoming expert in the science of Ground Penetrating Radar, Frank has been involved with numerous historical projects like The Penny Pack Park Project, and documentaries including “ The King’s Highway”(2016) and Secrets of the Dead “Gangster’s Gold” (2020).

Steve is an avid detectorist with over eight years of experience in the hobby. He enjoys detecting the beaches of New Jersey where he lives, as well as lakes, parks, and fields.

Steve has recovered many heirlooms and reunited them with their owners. His business Ring Finders has a large following and well-earned reputation.

Steve is the cohost of the Detect America Show that airs weekly. His motto is Live, laugh and detect!
